Beck: “Go It Alone”
A simple bass line and claps back Beck on this track, and that’s all he needs.

The Postal Service was completely fresh and new when it came out, and it I love that the lyrics make me as happy as the music (and the clapping) do.

The Concretes won me over with the video to this song, the lead singer Victoria Bergsman’s sleepy, soft voice, and the fact that she for some reason reminds me of my favorite author Sarah Vowell. The fact that the album cover is hot didn’t hurt either. The clapping in this song is few and far between, but it sets off the verses quite nicely.

This French singer put out an album, Le fil, in 2005 that relies almost entirely on sounds made by the body. Björk had done the same with her Medúlla, and while both albums have their merits, I think Camille’s is much more listenable.

I love Kid Sister (saw her at Lollapalooza once — awesome), and this is a great song for booty dancing.
